Marilyn Garcia is an admirable Nail Technician and Educator, her nail career reads like

a colorful tapestry, just like her personality and accomplishments! Born and raised in

Puerto Rico, Marilyn grew up with a keen interest in fashion with a strong desire to help

people. He found himself working in a salon while studying to be a chemist at the

University of Puerto Rico, Cayey campus... One day a client broke a nail and had to fix it

without knowing anything about nails, at that moment he discovered that he had a

natural talent for nail design and that is why she decided to follow that path... Now, 34

years later, she is one of the best Latino educators

worldwide in the world of nails”.

Following this newfound passion that she had discovered, Marilyn opened her own nail

salon at the age of 19 in Caguas and began learning all the techniques she could, her

thirst for nail knowledge knew no bounds and keeping up with the latest trends. trends,

designs and techniques became her life mantra. After 15 years, she Marilyn sold her

salon to further her education and make her score on the competition field. She has

competed on 24 occasions, of which 23 have achieved the first positions. She has been

competing since 1994 and has won a total of 24 trophies.

During his career, Marilyn trained with and became an expert in many of the industry's

top brands and then in 2015 started as global education director for Star Nail

International, Cuccio Pro and Cina Pro..

Marilyn Garcia has combined her experiences, training and knowledge and makes them

available to nail technicians looking to learn more about techniques to improve nail

application, how to be an educator, improve presentation skills, learn more about

product chemistry, improve leadership skills and more.

She being one of the very few (I think the only) Latinas to obtain a world position of this

magnitude “she has been educating and working in beauty shows around the world

during her 34-year nail career. She has traveled throughout the US, Australia, Brazil,

Bulgaria, Canada, Kosovo, Macedonia, UK, Dominican Republic, El Salvador,

Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Argentina, Costa Rica, Saudi Arabia, Dubai,

Taiwan,Malaysia Greece and many more countries” ,

Having trained more than 15,000 technicians around the world is no small feat.

However, Marilyn has 24 trophies in nail contests, nine Nails magazine covers, over 60

education certificates with various nail techniques and brands, has increased the number

of global Cuccio teams from seven to 30 and continues to tour the world with the

mission to get a team in all countries.
